just like it is supposed to look.
The Mercedes-Benz ML270 engine is equipped with a timing chain rather than a timing belt. Timing chains are more durable and typically last the lifetime of the engine, whereas timing belts require periodic replacement to prevent potential engine damage if they were to fail. The timing chain in the ML270 is designed to provide reliable and long-lasting performance for the engine's operation.
You have a problem with your air bag system, get your car to the dealer, NOW!!!
To reset the transmission on a Mercedes ML270, start by turning the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine. Press the gas pedal fully down and hold it for about 10 seconds, then release it. Turn the ignition off and wait for a minute before starting the engine. This procedure may help in resetting the transmission control unit, but always consult the owner’s manual or a professional for specific guidance.
The drive belt diagram for your ML 270, can be obtained from most Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The drive belt diagram can be found at many auto-parts stores.
Looking at the engine, it's under the silver engine cover, about half way back. Remove 2 screws on the cover, carefullly slide/pull the cover to the right until it releases from the lugs under the black cover. Voila!

i have a 1999 ml320 so hopefully yours is the same battery set up as mine. after you take off top strap there is a bolt at the front side of the aluminum battery casing. remove this bolt, it takes a 1/2 inch socket with extension. you may also need to slide battery forward before you pull it. cheers
To unblock the sunroof drains on a Mercedes ML270 CDI, first, locate the drain outlets, which are typically found in the corners of the sunroof frame. Use a flexible wire or a pipe cleaner to gently clear any debris or blockages in the drain tubes. You can also pour water into the sunroof tray to ensure it flows freely through the drains. If the blockage persists, consider using compressed air to dislodge any stubborn debris.
Hello im having problems with my key getting stuck in the ignition barrel aswell and iv'e got a ML270 CDI all you do is 1. Press the brake pedal and make sure the cars automatic gear leaver is in the 'P' (parking) position. make sure that the key in the ignition barrel is not turned and try to select a different gear even with the foot brake on and it shouldn't move that means its activated a security lock which is normal.2. you start the car, 3. switch it off then 4. try and remove the key5. if it doesn't still come out just try and wriggle the key out (try all sorts of things like push the key in, try to pull it out while your turning it) ORalternativly with my car all i have to do is just take a spin around the block and try to take it out normally and it comes out easily. AND if all of this does't cure your problem then im afraid you will have to go to Mercedes Benz where they will see the problem further.
