To check if the alternator is charging, start by using a multimeter to measure the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine off; it should read around 12.6 volts. Next, start the engine and measure the voltage again; it should increase to between 13.7 and 14.7 volts if the alternator is working properly. Additionally, you can observe the battery warning light on the dashboard; if it remains illuminated while the engine is running, it may indicate a charging issue.
Check the fusable link (wire in between the alt. and battery) to see if it's burned out. Check to see if the alternator light in dash works.
Check to see if any wire connectors came loose to the alternator ground or leads, Check to see if you have correct tension on your belt.
