change the relay. it works.
cost was $80. part+service
More than likely this is caused by the relays. They are both the same relays and anywhere carries them.
the relay needs to be replaced. you will find it behind the hazard switch (attached to the switch - a long skinny thing) I looked forever till someone told me where it was. Even the Volvo parts guy didn't know and Lawrence Volvo of Walnut Creek, CA would not tell me...
Located inside the hazard switch.
its inside the hazard switch, usually tapping on the dash over the hazard switch will make it blink again
Yes. The relay that controls the turn signals is built in the switch.
The turn signals operate through the Hazard switch. The Hazard switch assembly is in the radio console inside the car and must be replaced. This unit is about $90 CDN and can be purchased from the dealership. I replaced mine by pulling out (Carefully!) the radio console (the owners manual will show you how to do this). After that, you: Push the old Hazard Switch out from the rear of the radio console. Unplug the wire at the end of the broken Hazard switch. Plug the wire into the new Hazard switch. Push the Hazard switch back into the radio console and slide the radio console back in place. It takes 2 minutes if you get someone to hold the radio unit while you change the switch. Good luck!
It's the hazard switch. I have a 1998 s90 and if you take a small screwdriver and insert it into the bottom of the hazard switch (on the dash) and gently pry it, it will pop out.
First step - check the fuses. Second step - remove the light bulbs from the sockets, and check for corrosion. Clean any up, and apply a little dielectric grease to stave off future problems. Step three - if the first two steps don't help, the flasher relay is defective. You will need to replace the hazard light switch assembly, since the signal flasher is contained within it. To have the turn signal indicators display on the dashboard of your Volvo S60, first check if the dashboard settings allow for this feature. You may need to access the vehicle's settings menu through the infotainment system to enable dashboard indicator lights for turn signals. If the settings are correct and the problem persists, consider checking the vehicle's fuses or consulting your owner's manual for troubleshooting steps. If necessary, contacting a Volvo dealership or a qualified mechanic may be helpful for further assistance.
It's on the Steering wheel. With a hazard symbol on it.
how to install volvo 740 turn signal lens
In a 1999 Volvo V70, the flasher switch is located on the dashboard, to the left of the steering wheel. It is typically marked with a triangle symbol and can be found near the headlight controls. Pressing this switch activates the vehicle's turn signal lights for emergency flashing.
