To raise the rear seats in a 2006 Vauxhall Astra Estate (56 reg), first ensure that the seat bases are clear of any obstructions. Locate the release mechanism, usually found on the side of the seat or at the top of the backrest. Pull the lever or push the button to release the seat back, then lift it back into the upright position until it clicks securely into place. Make sure to check that the seats are properly locked before using them.
hi :) yes and no.. :) no, i dont think any of the astra range ever came with removable rear seats, as a design feature at least. They just fold.......... most fold flat after lifting the seat base up. yes, depending on why you want an astra with no back seats......... you could always just take the rear seats out...... lift rear seat bases, look for bolts, undo bolts, take seats out............ be wary of removing seat belt mechanisms if you plan on putting the seats back in......... (fully fully retracted seatbelt mechs will not unravel again... pull lots of slack and tie a loose knot in it). a car with no rear seats cannot fail an MOT, it will be tested on seating for 2. hope this helps.
A Vauxhall Astra Estate typically seats up to five people. This includes two front seats and a rear bench seat that can accommodate three passengers. Additionally, the vehicle offers ample cargo space in the back, making it versatile for both passengers and luggage.

Well, back seats or rear seats is about it. In sports cars, that are classed as 2 + 2, meaning the rear seats are only small or fit for children, they are sometimes called occasional seats. Some old cars, used to have a seat which appeared when the boot lid was opened. These were accessed by striding over the rear seats, or standing on the back wheel. In England, this type was called a "Dickie" seat, and in America a "Rumble" seat. The removeable part that you sit on, is sometimes referred to as a 'Squab'.
