Changing the battery on a Viper alarms key fob is very easy to do. The back of the key ob. comes off and the battery is located inside. Simply change out the battery with a new one and replace the back of the key fob.

This will separate it into the key portion and the remote portion. you can then pry the remote portion apart with your fingernails to change the batteries. Changing the battery in the key fob to a Pontiac Solstice is pretty simple. Just remove the back of the key fob, and take out the old battery. It takes a hearing aid battery, and they can be found at any chain pharmacy. Put in the new battery and replace the back to the key fob. It is now ready to go!
To program a key fob for a 2004 Chrysler Sebring, start by sitting in the driver's seat and closing all doors. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (without starting the engine) three times within 10 seconds, then turn it back to "Off." Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the key fob while turning the ignition back to "On," then release the "Unlock" button. If successful, the doors will lock and unlock automatically, indicating the fob is programmed.
It depends on the year. I did my 1998 by the steps below. It is important to do all of the steps within 2-3 seconds of each other. 1) Turn the key to II. 2) Quickly, like in 2-3, sec push the key fob's lock button. 3) Turn the key OFF. 4) Turn the key back to II. 5) Push the fob lock button. 6) Turn the Key OFF. 7) Turn the Key back to II. 8) Push the fob lock button 9) Turn the Key OFF. 10) Turn the key to II. 11) Push the fob lock button 12) You will hear the door lock. The keyfob receiver is now in program mode. You must push the Key fob lock or unlock button again to program that fob. 13) Do this again, lock and unlock, for every Keyfob you have, or it will deprogram them, and you only have 8 secs each to do it. when you press each fob you will hear the doors lock and unlock. 14) Turn the key off, and pull out the key. 15) Press the buttons on all the fobs to test them.
on the key fob, turn the key over so that the buttons are on the back. there is a small groove near the blade/key end of the fob. you can prise this open using a small screwdriver or if you're strong pull the blade/key part outward/away from the fob. the remaining key fob can then be split in two to get at the battery. beware that you only have a very short time to replace the battery or the fob will go out of sync with the car.
The key is inside of the key fob. There is a small switch on the back of fob. Push it towards the outside and hold it. While holding the switch, pull on the key ring and your key will slide out.
