Use the controls on the side of the seat that you would use to adjust your seating position. The button that you would use to adjust the reclining angle on your seat is also the button that will adjust your headrest. Simply slide the button down and the headrest will lower.
It depends on what options the 98 and 97 have. If you get the vin # on both cars and call BMW they can tell you for sure if it will fit.
There is a chain for a 97 528
it is under your seat
On a 97 528i the speed sensor is located on the transmission tail shaft housing at the top.
There may not be one. I think that car uses a GM transmission with a lifetime fill.

On a 97 and later models, it is located under the microfilter under the front hood on passenger side. Remove microfilter and housing behind fender well and unbolt or unclip cover to relay compartment - should be tan and right next to fender well - likely a Siemens relay.
