To jump-start a Jaguar XK8, first, ensure both vehicles are turned off. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery to the positive terminal of the donor battery, then connect the negative (-) terminal of the donor battery to a solid ground point on the car with the dead battery (not directly to the negative terminal). Start the donor vehicle, let it run for a few minutes, and then attempt to start the XK8. Once started, remove the jumper cables in reverse order and let the XK8 run for a while to recharge the battery.
To jump-start a 2007 Jaguar XK8, first, ensure both vehicles are turned off. Connect the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then attach the other end to the positive terminal of the working battery. Next, connect the negative (black) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the working battery, and attach the other end to an unpainted metal surface on the engine block or chassis of the XK8 to ground it. Start the working vehicle, allow it to run for a few minutes, then attempt to start the XK8.

The XK8 is computer chip limited to 155mph.

Approximately 5,000 units of the 1997 Jaguar XK8 were produced. The XK8, which was introduced in 1996, was part of Jaguar's new lineup that combined modern design with classic sports car elements. Production continued until 2006, contributing to a total of around 25,000 units for the entire XK8 series.

The Jaguar XK8 convertible model car comes with an 8 cylinder engine. Some car enthusiasts like to upgrade the XK8 with stronger engines but 8 cylinders is always what the car ships with directly from the dealership.
yes, I've read elsewhere online that in the fuse box under the hood (I think on the driver side), there is a place to attach cables to, one red cap and another black cap, both have covers on them. That said, it's just as easy, if not easier to jump it from the trunk where the battery lives.
