The blend door is vacuum controlled. Any vacuum leak in the engine system can cause the door to not function properly. Check this system first. The door could be physically sticking but a vacuum leak is a more common problem.

If your 1995 Monte Carlo is stuck on defrost and floor, it could be due to a malfunctioning blend door actuator or a vacuum leak in the HVAC system. The blend door actuator controls the airflow direction, and if it fails, it may not properly switch between settings. Additionally, a vacuum leak can disrupt the control of the air distribution, causing it to default to those positions. A thorough inspection of the HVAC components and vacuum lines would be necessary to diagnose the issue accurately.
The heater blend door is not run by vacuum. It is run by an electric actuator.
The rod fits into the push box; but replacement handles pop out when the inside door handle is pulled to open the door. the cure is to stick a piece of vacuum hose on the end of therod then put it into the push box so it cannot pop out

In a 2001 Chevy S10, the blend door vacuum is typically sourced from the engine's intake manifold. A vacuum hose connects the manifold to the HVAC system, allowing the blend door actuator to receive the necessary vacuum to function. If there are any issues with the blend door operation, it’s important to check this vacuum line for leaks or blockages.
Shut the Door was created in 1995.
To remove the headlight door from a 1995 Ford F-150, first, open the hood and locate the screws or clips securing the headlight assembly. Remove these fasteners using a screwdriver or appropriate tool. Once the assembly is loose, gently pull it forward to detach the headlight door. Be careful not to damage any wiring or other components while removing it.
The door motor is replaceable but not repairable. It is probably a vacuum controlled type so make sure that there are no vacuum leaks.
Sound like two problems first sounds like a vacuum leak causing the door to close on the heater core. then when stopped the vacuum is less causing the door close blower motor blowing cold air. Vacuum is better when driving and door is open on heater core and warm heat coming out. Look at all your little vacuum wires for cracks a 95 model hoses are very brittel
