To open the engine compartment on a 1983 Porsche 911 Turbo, first, locate the engine lid release lever inside the car, typically found near the driver’s seat or in the footwell. Pull the lever to release the latch. Then, go to the rear of the car, lift the engine lid, and prop it open with the support strut, if applicable. Make sure to secure it properly to avoid any accidents while working on the engine.
