To open the gas tank on a 2014 VW Jetta, first ensure the vehicle is turned off. Locate the fuel door release lever, which is typically found on the driver's side, near the floor or next to the seat. Pull the lever to release the fuel door, then simply press on the fuel door to open it. You can then unscrew the gas cap to refuel.
