Dont recharge it with the stuff at the stores. Also don't ever recharged it yourself. I have seen a lot of people get hurt from it. The stuff they sell you at the stores is propane. Which as you know runs most BBQ's. Which is highly flammable. If you charge it with one of those a shop will never touch you a/c until it all leaks out again.
You can buy a r134a recharge kit from your local auto parts store. The instructions are in the box. Pretty simple really.
