Not sure what year of your car is but with mine 1999, here is what you can do to remove Alternator.
1) Jack up your car from front
2) Remove bottom protective panel - 4 screws which will allow you to see what is in bottom of the car.
3) Between front passenger side wheel and oil panel, you will see Alternator.
4) I do not remember, but there is couple of screws you have to remove it to take existing alternator out. I saw this doing my mechanic so I do not remember.
5) It is easy to remove alternator but challenging part is to put it back. WHen you put it back you will need to use your both hand to push it back and screw it back. It is not too hard but prepare for it so there is no surprise.
