To remove the cam solenoids on a Vauxhall Vectra C, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Next, remove any necessary engine covers to access the solenoids. Disconnect the electrical connectors and unscrew the solenoid bolts, then carefully pull the solenoids out of their mounting positions. Finally, inspect the O-rings and replace them if necessary before installing the new solenoids.

The 2006 Vauxhall Vectra 1.8i is equipped with a timing chain, not a cam belt. Timing chains are generally more durable and require less frequent maintenance compared to cam belts. However, it's always advisable to check the manufacturer's specifications for any particular maintenance recommendations.
