I don't know what era e class you are asking about, so I'll answer with the Service Manual information for mine- a 1995 e320 Cabriolet. This is only my interpretation of SM 82-7833. I am going to undertake this task next weekend. If the Service Manual is erroneous, I will report back then.

-- Always disconnect the ground from your battery when working on electrics to avoid the risk of shock.

On the inside edge of each dashboard speaker, the side closest to the middle of the car, you will find trim piece (the service manual calls it a "cover strip"). It has two clips towards the front and two clips towards the back. Unclip with a plastic wedge.

Unscrew the two screw you uncovered, loosening the grill.

Remove the grill front the outside edge.

The speaker is held in place by spring clips all the way round.

The speaker wires run to the inside of the speaker and can be unplugged
