The easiest and most straight forward way is to...... remove the Front grill, bumper, headlights and the two pins that hold the rad in place.
remove two hoses connected, the clip to the fan and the temp sensor. drain the fluid.
Repeat steps to install.
Please note that if you have A/C. the cooler condenser is attached to the front of the Rad. DO NOT REMOVE THE HOSES (you will lose your ac evap) unbolt the condenser from the rad and then reinstall as soon as possible.
Is you get a Haynes manual it has a more in depth install write up.
yes they will
You can find a Golf GTI MK3 for purchase at your local certified Volkswagen dealership. You can also look through websites such as Craigslist to find a used Golf GTI MK3 for much cheaper than you would at a certified dealership.

Yes, I have it done on mine. The MK3 2.0 gearbox fails when it gets to high mileage. The Mk2 1.8 gearbox is bulletproof.
No, a Mk3 Golf GTI gearbox will not fit a Mk2 GTI directly. The two models have different gearbox mounting points and designs, which means modifications would be necessary for it to fit. Additionally, the Mk3 features a hydraulic clutch system, while the Mk2 uses a cable-operated system, further complicating compatibility.
I'm sure its in the distributor.
