The battery is located under the passenger seat in the Picasso. Caution should always be used when removing the battery as apparently it can corrupt the cars computer system if disconnected incorrectly. Everything should be switched off and all doors closed for at least 3 minutes before disconnecting, to allow the computer to go to sleep. If this is not followed then the software can be corrupted. Do not operate any equipment for the 3 minutes before disconnecting. (Check out the Citroen 3 minute rule)

To remove the steering column cover on a Citroen Picasso, first disconnect the vehicle's battery for safety. Then, remove any screws or fasteners securing the cover, typically located underneath the steering column. Once the screws are removed, gently pry apart the two halves of the cover, being cautious not to damage any clips or connectors. Finally, lift the cover off to access the steering components.
