i have a 2002 slk 230 first to get to the drain plug u have to remove ptotective sheild under the engine and then u will see the drain plug ,then remove the plastic covers on the top of the engine and the oil filter is a canister type that looks like an up side down can remove it with a big pair of channel locks and u will see the cartidge
put keys in ignition position 2, turn steering wheel full left then full right and back to centre and warning lights will be reset.....i had to do mine after changing battery!! mortz
