Hey, You didn't say what year you have so this may apply or not. its good for a mk4. 1. Remove the front driver's side wheel. 2. Remove the wheel arch liner (some torxs screws and 2 plastic fasteners). [I managed to avoid removing the wheel arch liner completely. I simply folded the part obscuring the washer bottle out of the way - roghol] 3. In the wheel arch unbolt the bottle from the car [I used a socket set with a socket extension for this as the bolt is a little hard to get at. However, you can undo it using pliers if you like and don't mind contorting a little. The required socket is 10mm - roghol]. 4. Open the driver's door, there are 2 bolts behind the door hinge, remove these [I found it easiest to do this while sitting in the driver's seat. You need to make sure the driver's door is open just the right amount to allow you to see the two bolts. Again, you'll need a 10mm socket and a socket extension. I'm sure it's possible to unscrew the bolts from outside the car but they look quite difficult to get at from that angle - roghol] 5. Unscrew / unclip the coolant expansion tank (you don't have to remove the pipes) and move it out of the way [The coolant expansion tank is held on with just one screw, plus a metal tab attached to the engine compartment which is inserted through a plastic slot on the tank. To lift the coolant expansion tank clear of the metal tab you'll need to widen the plastic slot using a flat-headed screwdriver or similar tool - roghol] 6. Remove the washer bottle neck (just pull it) 7. Pull bottle down, unclipping the hoses and power cable [There are two hoses and one power cable. To completely remove the washer bottle from the car you'll need to unclip the two retaining plastic tabs on the side of the washer bottle so that the power cable can be fully detached - roghol]. 8. Refitting is the reverse of removal. Cheers James
