2 screws under the speacker (look up), 1 screw behind cap behind door inside door handle, 1 screw under rubber flap that is inside handle that is used to close the door. use a puddy knife to start at the bottom up the sided to detach plastic clips
On mine there was a little more to it. Remove upholstered pad at front of box right below window switches(it has 1 plastic clip in the center and pulls out from bottom). Remove screw holding switch plate in place and under that I found 1 additional screw holding the panel in place.
How do you remove the interior panel containing the rear woofer in a 2002 jaguar xk8 coupe? thanks
To replace the side mirror on a Jaguar XK8, first, ensure the car is parked safely and disconnect the vehicle's battery. Remove the interior door panel by unscrewing the necessary fasteners and gently prying it off. Access the mirror by unscrewing the retaining bolts from the outside, disconnect the electrical connector, and then replace the mirror with the new one. Finally, reassemble the door panel, reconnect the battery, and test the new mirror.
Check the fuse panel on passengers side in the door well
To remove the door handle on a Jaguar XK8, start by carefully prying off the plastic cover on the handle using a flat tool. Once exposed, remove the screws securing the handle in place. After unscrewing, gently pull the handle out while disconnecting any electrical connectors if present. Finally, reinstall the new handle by reversing the steps.
The fuse box for the tail lights on a Jaguar XK8 is located in the trunk, specifically on the left side behind the trim panel. To access it, you may need to remove the panel by unscrewing or unclipping it. Once open, you can find the relevant fuse for the tail lights and check or replace it as needed.
To remove the remote seat controls from a Jaguar XK8, first disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Then, carefully pry off the control panel using a trim removal tool to avoid damaging the surrounding area. Once exposed, disconnect the wiring harness attached to the seat controls and remove any screws securing the panel in place. After that, you can pull the seat controls free from their mounting location.
it's on the driver's side dash panel. when you open the driver's door, look at the side of the dash. there should be a rounded-triangular panel that houses fuses and the inertia switch. the switch is to the right, covered with a rubber boot.
In a 1998 Jaguar XK8, the radio fuse is located in the fuse box, which can be found in the passenger compartment. To access it, open the driver's side door and look for the fuse panel cover on the left side of the dashboard. Remove the cover and check the diagram inside for the specific fuse related to the radio, typically labeled accordingly. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same amperage.
If you look at the inside the handle you will see a small round screw cover. Remove that cover and there will be a Phillips screw in there. Remove the screw and you should be able to remove the inside door handle. Next, remove the rubber lining in the little storage compartment in the door, there will be one screw in underneath for you to remove. Next remove the small trim piece along the next to the window switch. Now you should see a small screw holding the window switch in, remove that screw and pry out the switch. Disconnect the electrical connector going to the switch. You should see one more screw that was hidden by the switch. Remove that screw. Now remove the small speaker on the upper inner corner of the door, you should be able to just pull it out. Remove the connector to it. Now you can simply start pulling off the door panel. There are tools made for this but you should be able to do it by hand. Here's a video that shows how it is done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3wMh_R3fws
The OBD-II connector on a Jaguar XK8 is typically located beneath the driver's side dashboard, near the steering column. It can usually be found above the pedals, close to the fuse box. You may need to remove a cover panel for easier access.
To install an antenna on a 1999 Jaguar XK8, first, remove the interior trim and any covering that conceals the antenna base. Disconnect the old antenna by unscrewing it from the base and detach the wiring. Then, attach the new antenna by connecting the wiring and securing it to the base, followed by reassembling the interior trim. Finally, test the antenna to ensure proper reception.
