Changing the headlight bulb in a Jaguar X-Type vehicle is easy. Simply find the bulb located on either side of the car near the wing. Unscrew the bulb and replace it with a new one.

You have to remove the front bumper and remove the head lamp. then two plastic covers on the back of the assembly.

I hope you are talking about the headlight bulb and not the headlight assembly. On my 2003 X-Type, I first pop the hood up. You will see a black plastic cover behind the headlight. There is a metal latch that holds the cover. Pull the metal latch to losen and remove the black cover. Careful, the metal latch may drop off the black plastic. Now you have access to the headlight bulb. There are two metal wires hoilding the light bulb. Unhook the metal wires, replace the bulb, and hook it back in place. Good luck!
The brake light bulb on a Jaguar X-Type is replaced by opening the trunk and unscrewing the rear cover. The wiring harness can then be disconnected, the bulb removed, and a new bulb put in its place.
Best done cold. from under the hood, there are to metal clamps on the back of the headlamp assembly and remove the cover then replave the bulb, on the driver side you can remove the battery for ease

To replace the headlight bulb on a 2001 Acura CL Type S, first, open the hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab and pulling it off. Then, twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it, and replace the old bulb with a new one, ensuring not to touch the glass with your fingers. Finally, reinsert the bulb socket, reconnect the electrical connector, and test the headlight to ensure it works properly.
To change the low beam on a 2004 Jaguar X-Type, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight, then remove the rubber cover. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to release it, replace the old bulb with a new one (making sure not to touch the glass), and reassemble everything by reversing the steps. Ensure the new bulb is secure and reconnect the electrical connector before closing the hood.
I took mine to Jiffy Lube and they did just fine.
