If you pull the plastic cover off over the triangle for your hazard switch and pull the switch out there is a plug in on the back of the box remove the plug in and you will have the hazard switch out its a small 1X2" box and if your problem is your blinkers or hazards not working you can take apart the box and inside there is a circuit board with two relays one for turn signals the other for hazards. On the a4 b5 the points on these relays corrode and causes there to be no connection. Use a small screw driver to clean the points up it will save you 50 dollars I did it to my 2001 a4 last week and it solved the problem. There's a great DIY on YouTube for this.
The turn indicator relay in an Audi TT is integrated with the hazard switch. To replace the relay you would need to replace the hazard switch.
in my 2001 A4, it was the hazard light switch that had to be replaced. maybe thaqt's your issue also
The turn and hazard flasher relays are incorporated into hazard switch.
its the hazard switch, its all one unit
It's in the hazard warning switch. You need to replace the switch.
The hazard switch is the flasher mod.
This seems to be a cammon fault with VW/Audi cars. U will need to replace the hazard light switch mechanism which contains the switching contacts. I had to replace same in my last cars (VW/Audi)
1996-2001 Audi A4 1998-2005 Audi A6 1997-2003 Audi A8 The flasher is located on the dash above the radio, it is te same unit as the hazard switch.
My research to date finds that the turn signals and hazard signals are controlled by a common relay. That relay is behind the hazard relay switch. My 2002 Audi A6 has the same symptoms you describe, and I will be removing the hazard switch to get at the relay for replacement. Good luck.
you need to replace the hazard light switch the turn signal control module is built in the hazard switch.just had same problem a few months ago.
Inside the hazard switch.
