follow your radiator hoses, one of them is going to go to a housing. In it is your thermostat. Having bought the new one. drain your radiator in a pan, remove the radiator hose, remove the two bolts on the housing pull off, scrape clean the housing and mating surface on the bloick, apply a little permatex to hold new gasket in place, (if it comes with one) pay attention to wich side of thermostat goes toward motor it will say then put the housing together tighten by hnd replace hose and fill radiator back up with 50/50 mix antifreeze While you have the housing out look and see fi it has a bleeder on it or very near on a line. Sometimes these systems need to be burped. Let the motor run to get everything inplace and break open the bleeder if so equiped until fluid come sout, top off and good to go
