To reset the check engine light on a Mercedes-Benz SLK 230, you can use an OBD-II scanner to clear the trouble codes stored in the vehicle's computer. Alternatively, you can disconnect the car's battery for about 15 minutes, which may also reset the light. However, it's essential to address any underlying issues that triggered the light before resetting it. If the light persists, consider consulting a professional mechanic for further diagnostics.
Take your car to MB dealer and they will reset it for you ....simple I think the person was wondering how you reset the check engine light yourself. Obviously, everything can be fixed by taking it to a MB dealer. I imagine that is not at all what they were looking for. All you have to do is to pull the EFI fuse and then put it back in. This will reset the system. That is much more simple.

I hope you have better luck than I. I went to Advance Auto Parts, and had one of their techs to run the code on the computer. It was a "Secondary Air Injection Malfunction." In the SLK 230, secondary air is pulled off the supercharger, which in my case cost $3100 . There ARE many more codes, including a faulty gas cap which will trigger a "Check engine" light. I wish you well, and hope your code is a cheap fix. The dealer said mine was probably the worst one to have.
