how to chenge 405/1800cc/ timing belt
405 1.9 L 2L and most of the smaller engines are 80,000 KM
The belt pattern for the Peugeot SRDT 405 around the harmonic balancer typically involves a serpentine belt system. This belt usually routes around the harmonic balancer, alternator, power steering pump, and possibly the water pump, depending on the engine configuration. It's important to refer to the specific vehicle's service manual for the exact routing diagram, as variations can occur based on engine type and accessories. Proper alignment and tension are essential for optimal performance and to prevent premature wear.
In a word, NO!
where is dim dip relay located on a peugeot 307
no
Im affraid that to remove the water pump from a Peugeot 405 is not a simple procedure and requires proffessional attendance. The water pump lies under the main engine and in order to remove it u need to also remove the timing belt and puting back in place the timing belt is not simple. Failure to time correctly the timing belt will result in engine mallfunction or very poor performance.
Definitely NOT......Water & Oil galleries do not lineup!
nah, different size and shape.
The timing belt markings on a Peugeot 405 GTX are typically indicated by alignment marks on the camshaft and crankshaft pulleys. When installing a new timing belt, ensure that these marks are aligned correctly according to the vehicle's service manual. It's crucial to maintain proper tension on the belt and verify that the marks remain aligned after installation. Always refer to the specific service manual for detailed instructions and diagrams related to your model.
Yes. Most peugeot parts are interchangeable.
405's have two aux. belt tensioners. One at the bottom (manual adjustment with 6mm Allen key), and a spring loaded one at the top. On my 405 '96 1.9td, the spring loaded one seized, so instead of paying out around 80 GBP for a new one, i got a slightly smaller belt. works a treat.
