To replace the bonnet cable on a Vauxhall Corsa, first, release the bonnet and secure it open. Then, remove the plastic trim around the release lever inside the vehicle to access the cable. Disconnect the old cable from the lever and the latch mechanism at the front, then install the new cable by reversing the disassembly steps, ensuring it is properly routed and secured. Finally, test the new cable to ensure it operates smoothly before reassembling any trim.

just pull the catch towards you with a little force, until you hear the bonnet pop. same thing happened to me. you will also need some gaffa tape to secure it down as it is really dangerous to drive with the catch loose.
