Just been to sort out when mine needs doing thourght it would be 60,000 miles but according to garage after they checked Vauxhall parts system they told me it should be every 40,000 miles. Mines now at 55,000 so booked it in for next week!
4 years, 40K miles.
if it's a petrol model then it's every 40,000 miles.
60,000 MILES is about right for ANY engine with a Rubber belt.
I take it you mean 1.2 16V ? It doesnt have a cambelt , it has a cam chain , which "should" last the life of the engine, there is no recommended change schedules of the chain. If it gets noisy....change it quick !
Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine and are normally replaced when the engine is rebuilt.
60000 miles
Every 60,000 miles
5 years old no matter how low the mileage or before if mileage reaches 50.000 as water pump bearings are prone to seize about this mileage, It has been known for them to seize at 17.000.
The cambelt on a Vauxhall Astra should typically be changed every 60,000 to 100,000 miles, depending on the specific engine type and model year. It's important to consult the owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommendations, as intervals can vary. Additionally, if the vehicle is used in harsh driving conditions, more frequent changes may be necessary. Regular maintenance checks can help ensure optimal performance and prevent potential engine damage.
3 years or 60000 miles which ever is sooner.
they are a chain not a belt!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cambelt should be changed at 70,000 miles , i was quoted £360 at Renault main dealer for cambelt change only , but had cambelt plus water pump changed for £357 at an independent garage.
