I have purchased the ATF 1 transmission fluid for my Audi A6 1996.
how do i fill up the transmission fluid
Not recommended. Its essentially "lifetime." If you are having shifting problems, let a VAG (VW Audi Group) tech look at it.
To change the transmission fluid on a 2001 Audi A6 2.7, start by warming up the engine and then lift the vehicle securely. Remove the transmission pan to drain the old fluid, and replace the filter if applicable. Reinstall the pan with a new gasket, fill the transmission with the appropriate type and amount of new fluid through the dipstick tube, and check the fluid level while the engine is running. Lastly, ensure there are no leaks and the fluid is at the correct level.

Not needed- semi-permanent.
If its a tiptronic, its "permanent." If you have transmission problems, best take it to a VW/Audi tech.
Audi claims the transmission fluid in their a6 Quattros doesn't need to be changed, and is good for a lifetime. If you do want to change it, you will need to get under the car and remove the rear splash guard that covers the transmission belly pan. From there, you loosen the Allen head drain plug and let the fluid drain. Remove the pan and discard the gasket, and then replace the new gasket and reinstall the pan. Pump fluid back into the transmission through the fill hole located near the back of the vehicle.

It is important to check and maintain fluid levels in a car. To check the transmission fluid, a person looks for the red cap under the hood, this is the transmission dipstick.
there is no tranny dipstick on Audi's. the transmission fluid level is checked and serviced like that of a manual transmission. there is a drain and fill plug on the transmission oil pan itself. an excellent source of Audi service information can be found at Blauparts website.
You don't, it is "lifetime."
