Correct tool to use Brake Caliper Piston Rewind Tool

A lot of pistons easily go back in using a lever or pair of large oil filter pliers just take care not to damage piston seals and not to damage the caliper surface.

How do you get the pistons back in when replacing the rear brake pads on a 2006 Volkswagen Polo 1.9?

I had the same problem about a week ago. What you do is use a type of tool similar to the fastning key of a angle grinder.Place the tool(key) in the grooves of the piston and turn clock wise while someone pushes the piston back using a any type of device that will assist you in pushing hard enough while turning (Help will be needed). The piston will move back on turn remember to apply presure while turning. Another option is a G-clamp or similar with jaws wide enough to go on the piston and a secure point on the calliper. Winding in the clamp will slowly push the piston back in.

How do you replace the front brake pads on a 2002 volkswage n polo?

Simple. Use A Break Bar And 17mm Socket To Remove Wheels. Then To Loosen Caliper Bolts Use 7mm Allen Socket And Ratchet. Remove Caliper And Remove Old Pads. You May Need To Pry Them Out Due To Dirt, etc. Use A Wire Brush To Clean The Pad Carriers ( The Part That The Pads "Hooks" Sit On) Then Grease Slightly With Copper Grease. Put New Pads In Then Push The Piston On The Caliper Back Using A Set Of Pliers. Build It Back Up And Pump The Brake Pedal Before Driving. Source- VW Mechanic
