How_do_you_replace_a_crank_sensor_on_a_2004_jetta
YES THERE IS A SENSOR, IT IS LOCATED ON THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE WHERE THE TRANSMISSION AND BLOCK BOLT TOGETHER NEXT TO THE STARTER AND ALMOST UNDER THE OIL FILTER COOLER that's the CRANKSHAFT sensor, crankshaft and camshaft are not the same
The cost to replace the throttle position sensor on a 1999 Jetta depends on whether the engine is gas or diesel. The gas engine throttle position sensor will cost around $100 just for the part. The diesel engine part is slightly higher. Labor costs are around $75 to $100 per hour depending on where the vehicle will be serviced. This job should take about one hour.
The distributor gear is off by 1 tooth, you probably recently have a a timing belt.
