turn the key to the accesories position. pump the break pedal 3 times. the check engin light should flash. then turn the key to the off position and then start the car. the light should reset.
I am not sure if that works I have a 2004 Odysey and I did this and it worked.
While the car is off, push and _hold_ in your Trip meter button, then while still holding that button in... turn your ignition key to _On_ (not start). Wait until light goes out or you need a hair cut... which ever comes 1st. LOL, seriously it should go out in about 15 seconds or less
For a 2007 Honda Odyssey: Turn your ignition to the On position. Press and hold down the trip meter button for ~10 seconds (until the display blinks). Release the trip meter button. Press and hold the trip meter button a second time for ~5 seconds (until the display shows your oil at 100%). Then after all this is done you add oil to the tank and put a lighter in your car seat and wait 15 minutes until you can get back in your car. Then start engine and relax. and remember not to follow any directions after the turn the key part. Thanks.
Not sure what vehicle you have but, the correct procdure would also be found in your drivers manual.
Your owners manual should tell you how to reset the light.
well
This is basically an "oil change reminder" light. Check your manual on how to reset it.

Normally the light must be reset. The procedure varies from make to make. Your owners manual should tell you how to reset the light.
The oil change light is reset by Key on, engine off. Press the gas pedal to the floor three times. Cycle key off and on.
Reset the change oil light on Mazda 3
To reset the maintenance light for an oil change in the Infiniti QX56, turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine. Press the gas pedal three times within 10 seconds, then turn the ignition off. When you restart the vehicle, the maintenance light should be reset. If the light remains on, repeat the process to ensure it was done correctly.
The Check Engine light has nothing to do with oil changes and if it is on you have an emissions problem. The Maintenance Required light indicates you need an oil change. You must reset that light manually.
