On a Citroën Xsara, the gearbox oil drain and fill bolts are typically located underneath the vehicle. The drain plug is usually positioned at the bottom of the gearbox, while the fill plug is often found on the side of the gearbox casing. It's important to consult the vehicle’s service manual for the specific location and procedure, as it can vary between different models and engine types.
To remove the spare wheel on a Citroen Xsara Picasso, first, locate the spare wheel compartment, usually found under the boot floor. Use the appropriate tool, typically a wheel brace or a spanner, to loosen the bolt securing the spare wheel in place. Once the bolt is removed, lift the spare wheel out of the compartment. Make sure to securely stow any tools or components after the wheel is removed.
Underneath the car remove the large sump guard held in to the front and rear members by 4x bolt. At the bottom of the gearbox /finial drive is a x headed plug. remove it and the oil will drain. No washer to change as there isn't one
I assume your talking about a Mitsubishi Gearbox. This Gearbox will bolt up to the 4D56/4D56T Engines found in early 90's Pajero's and Tritons (Australia).

The r71 does not have an upgradeable gearbox.
To check the gearbox oil first you have raise the vehicle to a height that you can get underneath it then locate the gearbox it should be bolted to the back of the engine when you have found it look at both sides of the gearbox till you see a large bolt, you will have to undo this bolt ( It is called the filler plug ) once you have this bolt out the oil should be level with the bottom of this hole if so your gear box is full to its correct level if not then you will have to top it up with the correct type of oil hopr this helps. And always remember support your car in a safe manner so as it wont fall on you
Hi there is a 24mm bolt on the gearbox on the under side. And then put the new oil in by the dip stick.
Find where the speedo goes into the gearbox, unscrew it and slide it out. Get a 10mm spanner/socket and undo the locking bolt immediately next to it, rotate the plate that the bolt was holding down and gently tap out the whole speedo drive. You will now be left with a hole you can drive a bus through. You may need to tap it out from underneath the car. Remember to always chock and block once you have jacked the car.
for starters....is it manual or automatic,,,,big difference......on a manual,,,you have to get under the car to to the gearbox,,,,,then find the gearbox plug bolt,,,then fill the gearbox to that level....automatic is very different
The bolt pattern is the same, but the 21R engine has 2 locator dowels, which must be accurately marked and drilled on the gearbox, if it has come from an 18R. The bolt pattern on the crankshaft end are not the same, so the flywheels are not interchangable.
on the side of gearbox at top a remove ns wheel to see it its an 8mm hexagen shaped bolt
look in te manual :-)
