Yes, changing the battery in a Jaguar X-Type can sometimes lead to immobilization if the new battery isn't properly registered with the vehicle's electronic systems. This can trigger the immobilizer, preventing the car from starting. It's recommended to check the owner's manual or consult a professional to ensure the battery change was completed correctly and to reset the immobilizer if necessary.
I just changed the battery to my 2002 Jaguar X-type and it is just how you change the battery to any other car. Some people like to buy manufacturer product so if you buy a Jaguar battery, take out the old battery and put in the new. If you buy a compatible battery, at an auto store, it works just as well but you have to fill the sides so it can fit and it won't move from side to side since a jaguar battery seems to be wider than the standard types. They sell the foam at the auto store, you just have to put it on the side and cover the battery back up.i did non of dat i found it pips

The battery is located in the trunk.
Jaguar a proprietary battery that you have to purchase at an authorized dealership. There may be a knock off battery outlet online but I have not found it yet.
In the trunk.
You have to take the trunk floor out and the battery will be on the right.
To jump-start a 2009 Jaguar XKR, first, ensure both vehicles are turned off. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery to the positive terminal of the working battery, then connect the negative (-) terminal of the working battery to a grounded metal surface on the Jaguar (not directly to the negative terminal of the dead battery). Start the functioning vehicle, let it run for a few minutes, and then attempt to start the Jaguar. Once started, remove the cables in reverse order, and let the Jaguar run to charge the battery.
47 or 48 series is the battery you need
