The diagnostics plug, also known as the OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostics) port, on a Vauxhall Astra is typically located beneath the dashboard, near the driver's side. It can usually be found close to the steering column, often just above the pedals. To access it easily, you may need to remove any trim panels or look under the dashboard.
