I have been trying to track this down as well, seeing as how i dont have a manual for my Jetta. I belive this light either indicates low temperature of the coolant or low level of the coolant. I hopefully will be able to find a whole list of what all these lights mean at some point in time. If i can find it i will returen and post.
There is no dipstick. The fluid must be checked and added in at the bottom of the car.
