Starting in year model 1958, Karmann Coachworks built a Ghia Convertible. There are a number of differences between the Ghia vert and the hardtop, specifically the rear seat is narrower, the body is reinforced below the doors inside the rocker panels, the windows are slightly different, heater vents are in different places in the rear etc.
While there are a number of chop top ghias, they are not correct.
Karmann never built a type I ragtop, with the metal roof cut out for a soft top center much like the early (up through '63) bug sunroof models. There are a number of Ghias which have been modified to install a ragtop, but none were done by the factory

The original sticker price of a 1965 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia was approximately $3,200. This price reflected the model's combination of sporty design and practicality, appealing to a wide range of buyers during that era. Adjusted for inflation, this would be significantly higher in today's dollars, but it was considered an affordable luxury at the time. The Karmann Ghia became popular for its distinctive styling and efficient performance.
People have done it but it's very hard. What WILL fit on your Beetle are the disc brakes from a 1969-on Karmann Ghia.
Karmann Ghia Trunk? I am not sure what you are asking, but will try to answer what you might have asked. The VW Type 14 Karmann Ghia has a front trunk for luggage much like the VW Sedan (Bug) does. The Ghia has a pull handle on earlier models, and a small lever in later ones to open the front hood. Lindsey Lee PS from Altema: In addition to the front trunk, there is a rear luggage compartment behind the rear seat which is surprisingly large, and the rear seat flips down to become a carpeted luggage platform which extends under the rear window. As a bonus, there is a pair of hidden empty spaces under the rear seat (I'd recommend tool box liner to protect the metal floor).

Like much of this site, the Volkswagen category is still grown and expanding to encompass all the relevant models. For now questions on Karmann Ghias should go on the general VW category, once a category is created they will be moved. The category has been created, please feel free to ask questions there. Older questions are being moved as they are located.
None is needed. The car came from VW with hardened valve seats, and by now this specimen has had the heads changed--and all aftermarket heads have unleaded valve seats.
