Depends on vehicle and engine. Cylinder 1 is located closest to front of engine (where serpentine belt is). That side of the engine are the odd numbers.
2,4,6 from left to right on front bank,1,3,5 from left to right on rear head.(when facing engine from front of van)
Right Front Cylinder.
Cylinder #5 is the middle cylinder on the front or left bank.
In a Mazda 6 with a 3.0L V6 engine, the cylinder numbering typically starts from the front of the engine. The cylinder numbers are as follows: 1 and 2 are on the front bank (left side when facing the engine), followed by 3 and 4 on the rear bank (right side), and 5 and 6 are also on the rear bank. So, the numbering sequence is 1, 2 (front bank) and 3, 4, 5, 6 (rear bank).
On a Lexus GS300, cylinder 5 is located on the driver's side of the engine, towards the rear. The engine is a V6, so the cylinders are numbered from the front to the back, with odd numbers on the driver's side and even numbers on the passenger side. Therefore, cylinder 5 is the third cylinder from the front on the left bank of the engine.
It depends on the vehicle. It will be the bank that includes cylinder #1.
(looking at the engine) Left bank, 3rd cylinder back.
Front (left) bank rear cylinder (near transmission) Firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 Right front #1 Left front #2 Right center #3 Left Center #4 Right Rear #5 Left rear #6
It is the middle cylinder on the passenger side. With few exceptions the number one cylinder is the farthest one forward. If you look closely on your 4.3 you'll see that the driver side (left) cylinder bank is slightly forward compared to the right bank. On a Chevy they are numbered back and forth from left to right. So, the left bank is numbered 1,3,5 and the right bank is numbered 2,4,6. Hope this helps.
1-4 on right bank and 5-8 on left bank. Have any questions, look at valve covers below the ignition coils. also shows info for plug wire connections.
