might be simple, might be bad clutch pack(tranny overhaul), try some Trans-X in the fluid to unstick a sticky valve in the valve body(simple)...good luck also, check and adjust throttle modulation, also could be solenoid pack depending on the transmission/vehicle...read up on it to do it right...Everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional shop manual available, for FREE, in the reference section(make copies of the correct sections) read up and fix it like a PRO! :) good luck-Dave
most likely your transmission is slipping and usually is the onset of your transmission going
The purpose of the automatic transmission is that is shifts for you. You'll want to lock your transmission into your ideal gear for going up and down steep inclines to prevent it from downshifting, but, other than that, you typically let the computer do the shifting for you.
If your transmission is manual, you will have to change gear. If it is automatic, you won't.
if u have a manual transmission ur clutch is going out n u need to change it, if u have a automatic ur transmission is going bad and needs to be replaced
Means that the transmission is delaying going into the next gear.
It should only do it under braking. It is to help slow you down.
The automatic transmission temperature sensor, on your 1990 Mitsubishi, is located on the top of the transmission. The sensor will have to electrical wires going to it.
the automatic transmission don't need the fluid to be changed never if you change the fluid with a new one you going to lost your transmission
because the transmission is going out, it need rebuilt or replaced
It could be a number of things going wrong. Try dropping the transmission pan and changing the transmission oil filter and transmission fluid.
Check your motor mounts, exhaust heat sheilds, and anything else that could be rubbing metal to metal. Check for loose bolts. Check for loose front end parts.
If the transmission is slipping (the engine revs up when it shifts), if the transmission shifts late, even under normal acceleration, or if the tansmission simply won't shift, you should get it checked. Also make sure the fluid level is adequate.
