Several things, I had the same problem though and this is how I sorted it. Basically under hard acceleration the Motor Control System Failure light flashed and the car jerked as if it was been starved of fuel. I bought a diagnostic kit and but there were no error codes registered so I couldn't determine what the problem was. I ran injection cleaner through it and that didn't work so I checked the plugs. Cylinder number 4's plug was rusty on the outside. Eventually, the MCSF message stayed illuminated and the diagnostic showed it as being a temporary miss fire on cylinder 4. Bought a new coil pack, fitted it and haven't had a problem since. I'd aim for that route if I were you (get a diagnostic kit for about £40, a new coil pack costs about the same) Failing that, get a second hand coil pack from a breakers yard and swap it with each coil pack to see if it solves the problem. Hope this helps. I'm assuming yours is a 2.0 JTS btw. That's what mine is.
my engin management light comes on why

PwrTest is a test tool which enables developers, testers and system integrators to exercise and record power management information from the system.
The check power light on a vehicle is a warning indicator. A common cause of this is a improperly charged battery.

Losing power in your Vauxhall Astra without an engine management light could be due to several factors. Potential causes include issues with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump, which can restrict fuel flow. Electrical problems, like a weak battery or faulty alternator, might also lead to power loss. Additionally, problems with the throttle body or air intake system could affect engine performance without triggering a warning light.
No, an apple does not contain enough energy to power a light bulb. A light bulb requires electricity to produce light, which usually comes from a power source such as batteries, generators, or electrical outlets. The energy stored in an apple is not enough to produce the amount of electricity needed to power a light bulb.
battery is loosing power, probably there is power thief
no power to air conditioner pump but snow flak light comes on and fan runs
When the amp light comes on in a vehicle, it typically indicates a problem with the charging system, often related to the alternator not supplying enough power to the battery. This could be due to a faulty alternator, a damaged battery, or issues with wiring and connections. If the light remains on, it's important to have the vehicle inspected promptly to avoid potential breakdowns. Ignoring it could lead to a drained battery and ultimately leave you stranded.
The dashboard light which looks like a steering wheel with an exclamation point beside it is the power steering light. If this light comes on, it either means the vehicle's power steering fluid levels are low or that there is a fault in the engine management system. When the light turns on, the fluid levels need to be checked first, and topped off if they are low. If the light remains on and the fluid is full, or should come on again when the driver returns to the road, then the vehicle should be inspected by a mechanic.
On the left side of the console is a button labeled power. When this button is pushed a power light comes on in dash. This button is used when you need more power such as climbing a steep grade.
