If its the small red light at top of clock and its flashing... your water / coolant level is low.
You could have an exterior light out.

Has the instrument light dimmer wheel, beside your headlight switch on the dash been rotated down to the lowest position ? Or, if you mean your warning lamps, I know that on my 1995 there is a 10 amp fuse in location # 11 , in the fuse panel on the driver's end of the dash panel (visible with driver's door open) for the warning lamps.
The warning light could be for anything engine, alternator,abs, ect it would be best to go to your local garage for an OBD check this is where they plug your car to a computer to find the fault.
