When the displayed temperature sinks to approx. +377/+36, a signal sounds and a warning lamp lights up.

It is an ice warning feature. It warns you when you are operating the vehicle below 37 degrees.
I had the same scare, it simply means your BMW is telling you that it is cold outside and to drive accordingly. It should go away after a couple seconds.

Yellow triangle is the traction control light, It comes on( flashes) if you get wheelspin,like on an M# in the rain;). It will stay on if you turn DSC off, or if you have a wheel speed sensor problem(asb light would also be on)

I get that red triangle with the exclamation whenever I lose traction on the road...i guess its letting you know to drive slower or just be aware that you're losing traction....i also had that light come on for a few hrs when i my friends battery died and i gave her a boost.
