as many have said - many reasons for the issue, which includes... 1. bad battery 2. bad throttle body sensor 3. water in sensor area for throttle body (water can leak in through the screw holes on the sensor housing during rain storm or car wash) 4. bad battery connections - corrosion around battery terminal 5. wire harness loose to throttle body or battery 6. dirty throttle body 7. water in sensor area to parking brake sensor in back spare tire area in trunk (for jags) 8. Mass Air Flow sensors dirty or bad

hi there
myself i drive an convertible xk8 4l 97 model sometimes the computer sensors pick anything that missbehaves under the bonnet. try and switch off the engine for a couple of min, start again the engine and see if the amber light, poor perrformance comes on again,! if it doesnt it means the fault was transitory, if it lights again it means there is a problem with the engine, from my experience it could be acouple of things that lead to poor perforance, ignition, fuel, and compression, in mecanic words, spark plugs, ,air filters, could be an injector or coil, etc etc . i would say take thecar to a mecanic before it gets from bad to worse.

When the amber restricted performance light comes on in a Jaguar XKR, it typically indicates that the vehicle's engine management system has detected a problem that affects performance, triggering a temporary limp mode. This can be caused by various issues, such as a malfunctioning sensor, low fluid levels, or other mechanical concerns. It's important to have the vehicle diagnosed using an OBD-II scanner to identify the specific problem and address it promptly to restore full performance. Ignoring this warning could lead to further damage or reduced drivability.
When the check engine light is activated the resricted performace message which is like a "limp home mode" to work with the fault the vehicle will restrict timing, trans operation and throttle body response
LOL! I think you mean "Restricted Performance". That's an error that comes on with some engine or transmission problems. The car's computer limits the performance of the engine to prevent damage. It still allows you to "limp home", but it won't let you go fast or accelerate hard.
Yes, the check engine light is coming on for a reason. You need to take your vehicle into a service center.
After a solid amber traffic light, the light typically turns red. The amber light serves as a warning that the signal is about to change, urging drivers to prepare to stop if it's safe to do so. In some jurisdictions, drivers may proceed through an amber light if they are already in the intersection or cannot stop safely. However, running a red light is generally considered a traffic violation.
Bradford reagent is kept in amber-colored bottles to protect it from light exposure. Light can degrade the reagent, affecting its stability and performance. The amber color helps to block out light that can lead to decomposition of the reagent molecules, ensuring its reliability for accurate protein analysis.
Amber in nature comes in every shade from light yellow to brown, and even green. The color in the crayon palette is brownish-orange.
Yes, that's where the color amber got its name.
The Amber Light Flashes For Four Seconds.
It is a warning light for front brake pad wear. It comes on when there is about 3-4mm of pad material left.
An amber light is an amber-coloured traffic light, found in the UK, indicating that vehicles should stop unless it's unsafe to do so. The equivalent in the United States is the yellow light.
A red light - steady or flashing - means STOP. A steady amber light means Caution - signal about to change. A flashing amber light means SLOW DOWN.
