It may mean a coil pack needs replacing. This happened to me within five minutes of buying my new (used) 55-plate Grand Scenic! The car started misfiring, minor at first then worse, and I got the orange service light, check fuel injectors, and check emissions warnings come up. I called the dealer, they got me to bring it straight back and changed the faulty coil packs (two) in five minutes - very simple repair.
