It is not a warning light. The DRL stands for Daytime Running Lights and will always be on unless you turn on your dashboard lights.

You may need to refer to the vehicle's owner's manual for the exact location and identification of the relay, as the layout can vary. Always ensure the vehicle is turned off and take appropriate safety precautions when working with electrical components.

"DRL" stands for "daytime running lights".....in newer model vehicles, the DRL will turn on automatically when the car is started, thus eliminating the need to turn on the headlights for visibility, although the law states that headlights must still be turned on between ½hour before sunset and ½hour after sunrise.
DRL are your Daytime Running Lights
To change the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) on a 2006 Audi A4, start by removing the headlight assembly. This typically involves unscrewing a few bolts and carefully pulling the assembly out. Once removed, access the DRL bulb socket, twist it counterclockwise to release the bulb, and replace it with a new one. Finally, reassemble the headlight assembly and test the lights to ensure they work properly.
drl are not the same as low beems they are low watt bulbs that do not project as far. strictly used to be seen in dusky conditions. the low beams should project out more higher on to the road. sounds like the low beam fuse when out or maybe a relay
Under the hood next too the windshield wiper motor. If you remove it, your brake warning light and abs warning light will remain on constantly. However, all your lights will function normally.
as far as i know the drl are your high beams with a resistor to dim them
