I could be wrong here but are you "kangeroo jumping" as in failing to use the clutch properly when changing gears thus the car lurches, this could be a result of a worn out clutch OR gearbox.
There is a plug on the side of the transmission, remove battery tray to access and fill until gear oil begins to come back out. Mechanics that specialize in Opel/Vauxhall say never re-use fill plug, use a new only. Torque to 22 ft/lbs
The spare wheel from an Opel Astra may not fit an Opel Corsa due to differences in wheel size, bolt pattern, and offset. Each model is designed with specific specifications, so it's essential to check the dimensions and compatibility before attempting to use an Astra spare wheel on a Corsa. It's recommended to consult the vehicle manuals or a professional to ensure proper fitment.
Any 15w 40 oil, but preferably shell as that's what dealers use
To fill the gearbox oil on a 1998 Opel Astra 200i Euro, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Locate the gearbox fill plug, which is typically on the side of the transmission. Remove the plug and use a funnel to pour the appropriate gearbox oil until it reaches the fill level, which is usually just below the fill hole. Reinstall the plug securely after filling.

As a standard, any front wheel drive car uses ATF lubricant or better known as Automatic Transmission Fluid to lubricate it's gearbox, you can recognise it by its colour witch is deep red, an opel/vauxhall corsa/astra 1.7d/1.7di/1.7dti/1.7cdti uses ATF II, you can normally get this at any gas station and/or car spare shop, if you are not good with technical stuff its recommended that you take your car to the nearest GM service station to get the "cranny" filled up as filling is quit tricky. over filling will cause to much preasure on the gaskets/seals witch means that the gearbox will blow a gasket, oil will start leaking from the area where the gasket is damaged, evetually the gearbox will leak so much oil that the gearbox will run dry damaging the scyncro mesh, selectors, links and gears to such an extent that youd have to replace the gearbox witch can be a costly matter!
To clean the fuel injectors on a 1998 Opel Corsa, you can use a fuel injector cleaning kit that connects to the fuel rail. First, relieve the fuel system pressure, then disconnect the fuel line and attach the cleaning kit. Follow the kit instructions to flush a cleaning solvent through the injectors, allowing them to soak and clean effectively. After cleaning, reconnect everything and run the engine to ensure proper operation.
i hate the word gearbox
Depends on which 1.0l engine you mean. For a 1993 to 2000 Vauxhall/Opel Corsa (the A and B models) you use 10w40 semi synthetic, it takes about 3.2 litres. For the later models (C and D) I think you're looking at 5w30.
