The driver's seat module in the S-Type Jaguar is an electronic control unit that manages the various functions of the driver's seat, including adjustments for position, lumbar support, and heating or cooling features. It communicates with other vehicle systems to ensure seamless operation and may also store seat position preferences for different drivers. This module is part of the vehicle's overall electrical architecture, contributing to comfort and personalization in the driving experience.

how do i let diwn the back seat of a jaguar
take out the two screws at the front of the carpet shell compartment, just in front of the drivers seat. Lift the front and pull to remove that carpet shell that covers the module. At the right side of the module, between the module and the tranny tunnel, there is a clip type of thingy that has a tab with a whole in it's front side. Take a screw driver and lever the tab forward, which releases the clip and allows the module to be lifted at the tab end, to allow the tabs in the left side to be levered out by lifting the unit out. If you are having drivers seat problems, I would be interested in how you do, as I too, am having an issue with the drivers seat on a 93 XJS Convertible. The seat is inop and it looks as though I have to move it fore and aft in order to get to the torx screws that hold the seat in. Anyone got the answer to my question?

To remove the back seat of a 2007 Jaguar X-Type, start by locating the release mechanisms or bolts, typically found at the base of the seat or behind the seat cushions. If the seat is secured with bolts, use a socket wrench to unscrew them. After removing any fasteners, gently lift the seat cushion upward to detach it from its clips or brackets. Finally, if the seat back is split or separate, repeat the process for that section, ensuring you disconnect any seatbelt attachments if necessary.
