The towing capacity on those cars depends on the year and transmission.
the newer the car the bigger the load it can haul, but I wouldn't use it to haul much more than you can stuff in its trunk and passenger space. A trailer of much size at all will burn up an automatic tranny in a few miles, and remember, don't ask a 4 cly. car to do the work of a truck.

If you have to ask what the 100-series chassis towing capacity is: 1. You either don't know anything about towing whatsoever, and you probably shouldn't tow anything because of your inexperience, as a general safeguard to those around you; or 2. You already have quite a substantial load you wish to pull, and is most lokiely unsafe to pull with anything less than a 200 or 300 series truck. If in doubt, don't even bother backing up to the hitch.

i"m not 100% sure on your model year but the earlier ones with the 4.3 l v6 are rated at around 5000 lbs. i towed 3000 lbs with my 93 s10 blazer and that was all i was comfortable with.
