Officially there is no general speed limit on the Autobahn, but over the years more and more speed restrictions have been imposed on certain stretches. Depending on the time of day the can be as low as 80kmh (50mph), 100kmh (62.5mph), (120kmh) 75mph.
There is how ever a "Richtgeschwindigkeit" (recommended maximum speed) which is 130 kph (81mph).
See link below for more information.
Parts of the German Autobahn do not have posted speed limits.
The German Autobahn speed limit map provides information on the specific speed limits that drivers must adhere to on different sections of the Autobahn highway system. This helps drivers to know the maximum speed they are allowed to travel at in different areas, ensuring safe and legal driving.

German autobahn signs convey important information to drivers such as speed limits, lane restrictions, exits, and potential hazards on the road. These signs help drivers navigate safely and efficiently while traveling on the autobahn.
The German speed limit sign plays a significant role in regulating traffic on the autobahn by setting specific speed restrictions for drivers. This helps to ensure safety on the road and prevent accidents by controlling the speed at which vehicles can travel. The sign helps to maintain order and reduce the risk of collisions, making the autobahn a safer and more efficient highway system.
An autobahn is a high-speed intercity highway, as present in Germany.
"Freeway" is an English equivalent of "Autobahn."
The Autobahn is Germany's superhighway system known for its high-speed limits and efficient design. It is a network of controlled-access highways without a general speed limit, though some sections do have advisory speed limits for safety.
It is a German motorway
An Autobahn is basically a German version of a highway. ******** A VERY high speed highway- such as an expressway or an interstate highway.
Autobahn is German for "freeway"; the proper name of the autobahn there is Bundesautobahn, meaning "federal motorway".
