I'm not familiar with that particular expression... what's a "tick over"? "Tick-over"is the old way of describing an idling engine. Combo van has been around for some time and has a variety of engines, petrol and diesel, you need to specify which you have. Some have no provision for adjustments, being electronically set.Geoff.
Not unusual for these to get just over the 100 at idle. As long as the radiator fan cuts in there not normally a reason to worry
To reduce the tick-over speed (idle speed) on a Toyota MR2, you can adjust the idle air control valve (IACV) or the throttle body. Start by locating the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body and turn it counterclockwise to lower the idle speed. Additionally, ensure that the engine is properly tuned and that there are no vacuum leaks, as these can affect idle performance. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific procedures and specifications related to your MR2 model.
Try adjusting the idling speed - sounds like idling speed is too low so when you take your foot off the gas it can't idle (Tick over)

If the vehicle has hubcaps remove them and see if the noise stops. Check the brakes as well, something on the wheels is rubbing.
To lower the tick-over (idle speed) on a VW Polo SDI, you typically need to adjust the idle speed screw on the injection pump. Locate the screw, usually near the fuel injection pump, and turn it counterclockwise to decrease the idle speed. It’s important to make small adjustments and monitor the engine's performance to ensure it runs smoothly. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions related to your model.
You cannot as all clocks are seet to tick every 1000 miliseconds
The duration of ...tick...tick...tick... is 1.67 hours.
To adjust the fast tick-over (idle speed) on a Renault Clio 1.2, you typically need to locate the idle air adjustment screw on the throttle body. First, ensure the engine is at normal operating temperature. Then, turn the screw clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the idle speed, checking the RPM with a tachometer. Always consult the vehicle's manual for specific instructions and recommended idle RPM settings.
It means the square root. like the diving table over a number but with a tick means the square root of this number
Firstly get vinegar and tweezers. Sit your dog down and put vinegar on the tick and leave for 1 minute. Get the tweezers over the tick and give it a sharp twist to make sure the whole tick comes out. Good Luck!
