Some people are having good luck with high quality 5w40 CJ-4 engine oils, such as Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck or Delvac 1, but it doesn't carry the VW rating. Also, for a 507.00 oil, some Pepboys carry Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 that carries the rating.
