I use semi-synthetic Castrol Magnatec 10w40 in my 115,000 mile 1995 4.0 Sovereign. Still purring like a kitten!!
No! 93 and 94 will interchange though.
30 mm
my 94 xj6 has a switch in the center console glove box
About 12-18 around town, 20-30 elsewhere. my 94 3.2 computer is showing an average of 21.3.
Code fuel 1 would indicate Oxygen sensor. A good information source is the Haynes Manual Jaguar XJ6 1988-94. Good luck.
Seriously? Is the oil dirty then the filter is dirty. Change it every 3-4k miles! On my 88 XJ6 I change it ever 4k miles since it does hold 8 quarts, on my 94 XJ12 I change it ever 6k miles as it holds 11 quarts. If you drive it like a race car in the dead of summer change it more often, if its really dirty before the miles are up then change it anyways. It's the most important thing to do for these old gals.
The inertia switch on a 93 XJ6 should be in the same place as on a 94 XJ6, which is on the kick panel on the drivers side. It is a little black box with a button protruding from it.
10 quarts with filter, run for several minutes, turn off for 5 and check on level ground
4.2 quarts.
80W90 gear oil
My '94 3.8 uses 5W-30 according to the owners manual
5W30 or 10W30 is what's required
